The War of Art | Pressfield

The War of Art by Steven Pressfield is a fantastic, practical guide to overcoming the resistance inherent in all creative pursuits. The concept, Pressfield explains, of “Turning Pro” is perhaps the most empowering idea in the book. While the book is written from a writer’s perspective, the ideas and advice are applicable to all creative professions. I’ve been recommending it to everyone I know that seeks to be more productive in their creative work.

George Guidall, gives what I consider to be a perfect performance as narrator of the audio version, and his wise, father-like delivery makes the book not only a pleasure to listen to, but truly effective in its tone.

Recommendation credit: Jonah Ray of Nerdist fame. I only wish I could tell you, in which “hostful” episode it was, that he made the recommendation.
